Amsler Real Estate

A small Wellfleet Cape Cod real estate agent. Charlie Amsler needed a simple site that would look professional but not overly corporate. His site allows him to reach customers far from the small out of the way community of Wellfleet, and provides a platform for growth. I designed every visual aspect of the site, Charlie provided the text and the pictures.

The Sietch

A not for profit group seeking positive change through direct action. The Sietch is a group of committed individuals that seek to make the world a better place through getting out there and getting things done. It is also a clearing house for information about renewable energy, political happenings, and environmental news. The Sietch is one of the larger sites I have designed, with over 100 pages and several sub-domains. I am the webmaster of The Sietch.

The Sietch Blog

A multi user blog. Users can post content including pictures from any web browser. Fully automated calender keeps track of posts, automated contact page to prevent spam. The Sietch Blog uses PHP (a scripting language) and MYSQL (a type of database) to allow its users to have their own login name and password, as well as profiles and personal settings. It also allows administrative functions as well as article comments, monthly archives, sections, and feedback.

The Cape Cod Ice Cream Challenge

A blog about ice cream on Cape Cod. Multiple authors with fully automated content posting. The authors of this site can add content from any Internet ready computer. No special programs needed. Easy to use and simple to maintain. Features a custom Google maps hack that provides full driving directions and all the functionality of Google maps (satellite pictures, zoom, etc.)

Dune Dreams

Dune Dreams is a visual diary. It is a display space for photographs taken during the journey through life. It is a clean and crisp layout, which highlights the pictures above all else.

Cape and Islands Self Reliance

A non-profit group supporting renewable energy. Self Reliance had a site that was in dismal shape, hard to navigate, poor color scheme, and like many small non-profits did not have the resources to revamp it. They simply needed there current site reorganized, I was able to work with them to restructure the site to include a better layout with an easier to use navigation, while staying within their very very small budget.

I code CSS based layout designs using web standards. My goal is to use my talents to create the best possible website for my client. I am familiar with various open source Content Management Systems (CMS) including Wordpress, Joomla, and Drupal.
